Jr Incorporated by Gabriel Platt

Junior was born with a port stain on his face which made him different from all the other kid's. When he was in middle school he was bullied bad and had no friends because of the stain. One day when Junior's grandfather picked him up from school Junior told him about the bullies. Junior told him that he was ready to fight them when his grandfather told him the solution to his problem. His grandfather told him that everyone is created with untapped potential that others around us need. We need to create a space around us full of inspiration. We should begin to explore our interests and explore our potential by doing things we’ve never done and solving problems that bother us. This creates a space around us that is a 100% reflection of our real self.  Bullies are insecure people who want others to feel insecure. No one can feel insecure when they’ve discovered who they are and they’re fulfilling their potential. Junior went home that day and started thinking. He had a lot of interest and there were lots of problems to solve. It wasn’t long before Junior knew exactly what’s he’d do first!

ABOUT GABRIEL PLATT

Gabriel is a fourteen year old comic book author and illustrator who began his multi media business, Comicffical, in 2017. His comic book, The Adventures of Zak Dakota, is about a kid who was born into a family of superheroes. In The Dakota Universe, every superhero gets their power at 13 years old. The challenge arises when Zak’s father disappears a year before Zak’s 13th birthday and Zak’s plans to use his super powers to find him but wakes up on his 13 birthday with no powers. Zak learns a lot in the quest to find his powers and realizes a lot about himself. Gabriel created this comic because when he was in middle school he went through a very hard time being bullied. He talked to his Dad about what was going on and his Dad talked to him about his potential. Everyone is created with enormous potential and when it is developed it gives us a space around us that is authentically ours. Comicfficial became the tool that Gabriel used to develop his writing and art potential and has grown into a place where readers are inspired to discover and develop their potential.
In his spare time Gabriel loves to create new comic ideas, play video games, spend time with his friends and swim.

Gabriel is also a community contributor for Juniority! You can find his weekly comic illustrations on our Community Blog page and our social media.
